​What is your vaccination policy?

​ALL dogs must be current on Rabies, Distemper, and Bordetella.  Bordetella needs to be administered at least 7 days prior to arrival.  We recommend getting Bordetella every 6 months although not required.  We also recommend getting vaccinated for K9 influenza although not required.  Proof of vaccinations is required to stay and needs to be received prior to check in.  Reservations will not be confirmed until we have received all up-to-date paperwork.  Either have your vet email us the required paperwork showing these dates or take a picture with your phone and send them to us.

What time is Check-In?

Check-In is anytime during Lobby Hours:

Any dog Checked-In outside of Lobby Hours will be charged an additional $20/ family.

What time is Check-Out?

Check-Out time is 8 am - 12 pm (without extra charges).  All dogs that check-out after 12 pm

are charged $30 per dog and need to be picked up before 8 pm.  If you are not here by 8 pm you will have to pick up the following day after 8 am.

Do you offer any kind of discounts for extended NIGHTLY stays?

Yes, Pre-buy your nights of boarding for a discounted nightly rate as low as $30 per night.  A couple of options are available.  The more nights you buy the more you save.  You will NOT be charged a PEAK RATE with these packages during our PEAK times.  These packages must be bought prior to the stay.  There are NO REFUNDS on these packages for any reason but

they do not expire.

​When is staff in the resort?

Staff is here everyday from 6 am to 10 pm.   Even when our Lobby is closed we are still here working with all of our guests.

​

What should we bring with us?

The only thing you need to bring is food.  If you forget food we can provide ours which is

American Natural Premium for a $2 charge per meal or you can purchase a bag here.  Food needs to be portioned in zip lock bags or a container with the amount they need while staying with us and a little extra "just in case" is recommended.  Large bags of food will not be accepted unless needed for an extended stay.  We have measuring cups and use our own dishes as we wash ours after each meal and do not want to get ours mixed up with yours. Please do not bring large beds and bedding items in because we will not be able to wash them. Label all bags of food and other belongings with your pet's name and only bring items that won't be missed if they get wrecked or misplaced as we are not responsible if this happens.  Please double check that you have all of your items when you check out as sometimes things might still be in our laundry room or left in a play yard. Our Resort has housekeeping and laundry services throughout the entire day to make sure their room is always fresh and clean.  No Rope Toys or Rawhides are allowed.

 

Is your resort climate controlled?

​Yes, all of the luxury rooms and themed suites come standard with in-floor heat and are climate controlled with air conditioning for the warmer Wisconsin months. We ensure all pets staying with us are comfortable and happy.

​What is Doggie Daycare and what are the hours?

Our Doggie Daycare is a perfect place to bring your dog while you are at work, away for the day, or just need a place to bring your little friend to burn off some of that extra energy.  Our convenient hours allow you to check in and out anytime from 6:30 am until 8:00 pm 7 days a week. Your dog will have a great time playing and socializing with all of the other guests or just having individual time with one of the caretakers.  We have several packages and prices available for you to choose from.

Are Play Groups supervised?  ​

Yes.  Play Groups are supervised at all times.

​What if my pet needs medications? 

​We are happy to provide medications to your pet according to your schedule for a $2/day charge.  If your pet requires insulin, we are able to give it for $3/shot.  Medications must be in original packaging or veterinary-prepared containers.  A label must include the Last Name, Pet Name, Medication Name, and Dosing Instructions.  Please double check at check out that you have all of your medications back.

 

What if I have more than 1 dog?

If you have multiple dogs they can share a room as long as they are from the same household.  Dogs from separate households are not allowed to share a room.  Additional dogs in the same room are $35 per dog per night.

Can we come and visit our dog? 

We do not typically recommend this unless there are special circumstances, however you are allowed to do so anytime during our Lobby Hours.  The reason we do not recommend this is because some dogs might miss their Parents while staying here and so once we get them into a routine, we find it is easier on the dog (and Parents) not to take them out of that routine until they are going home.

 

​Do you allow after hours check-ins?

Yes, just ask us how it works when you make your reservation.  We will need to know ahead of time if you are checking in outside of lobby hours.  No checking in after 8 pm.  A $20 fee per family will apply for any dogs that check in outside of our lobby hours.

What is your cancellation policy?

You can cancel with no fee until 2 days before arrival.  You'll be charged the cost of the first night if you cancel within 2 days of arrival.  If you don't show up, the no-show fee will be the same as the cancellation fee.  Holiday and Peak Rates will apply if applicable.  We are a hotel

(for dogs) and if you have a room booked and do not need it, that is a room someone else could have used, and the number of dogs we have staying with us lets us determine how many caretakers we need to have that day.  Daycare Reservations not cancelled at least 1 day prior to the day of the reservation will be charged 1 full day of Daycare.

 

​Where can we find you?

​Pet Retreat is located on County Highway P in the Wisconsin Dells, just off of exit 89. We are located a 1/2 mile from Wal-Mart and Home Depot and are only 5 minutes away from all the major Wisconsin Dells attractions and resorts!

What are your Peak Dates and how do they work?

Peak Dates are an additional $5 per night per dog.  Dates are listed below.  We encourage you to make your reservations in advance for these dates as we fill fast.​
