​What is your vaccination policy?

​ALL dogs must be current on Rabies, Distemper, and Bordetella.  Bordetella needs to be administered at least 14 days prior to arrival.  We recommend getting Bordetella every 6 months although not required.  We also recommend getting vaccinated for K9 influenza although not required.  Proof of vaccinations are required to stay and needs to be received prior to check in.  Reservations will not be confirmed until we have received all up to date paperwork.

What time is Check-In?

Check-In is anytime during Lobby Hours.  Any dog Checked-In outside of Lobby Hours will be charged an additional $20.

What time is Check-Out?

Check-Out time is 8 AM - 12 NOON (without additional charges).  ALL Dogs that check out after 12 NOON are charged $25 per dog.  All dogs checking out need to be picked up before 8pm.

When is staff in the resort?

Staff is here everyday from 6 am to 10 pm.   Even when our Lobby is closed we are still here working with all of our guests.

 

What if my dog is not fixed? 

Dog's that are not fixed are an additional $5 per night.

What if my dog is not social?

Non-Social dogs are welcome and are let out just as many times as social dogs and just spend their time playing with their caretaker.  Non-Social dogs are an additional $5 per night.

​

If we have more than 1 dog can they share a room?

Yes, additional dogs from the same family can share a room for just an additional $30 per night per dog.

​

What should we bring with us?

The only thing you need to bring is food.  If you forget food we can provide ours (American Natural Premium) for a $2 charge per meal or you can purchase a bag here.  Food needs to be portioned in zip lock bags or a container with the amount they need while staying with us.  Large bags of food will not be accepted unless needed for an extended stay.  We have measuring cups and use our own dishes as we wash ours after each meal and do not want to get ours mixed up with yours.  We provide bedding in all rooms but understand bringing your own blankets and bedding help them feel more at home.  Label all bags of food and other belongings with your pet's name and only bring items that won't be missed if they get wrecked or misplaced as we are not responsible if this happens.  Please double check that you have all of your items when you check out as sometimes things might still be in our laundry room or left in a play yard. Our Resort has housekeeping and laundry services throughout the entire day to make sure their room is always fresh and clean.  No Rope Toys or Rawhides are allowed.

 

Is your resort climate controlled?

​Yes, all of the luxury rooms and themed suites come standard with in-floor heat and are climate controlled with air conditioning for the warmer Wisconsin months. We ensure all pets staying with us are comfortable and happy.

​What is Doggie Daycare?

Our Doggie Daycare is a perfect place to bring your dog while you are at work, away for the day, or just need a place to bring your little friend to burn off some of that extra energy.  Our convenient hours allow you to check in and out anytime from 6:30 am until 8:00 pm 7 days a week.  Your dog will have a great time playing and socializing with all of the other guests or just having individual time with one of the caretakers.

Are Play Groups supervised?  ​

Yes.  Play Groups are supervised at all times.  

​

How often will my dog be in playgroup?  

Our Playgroups are everyday 8 am to 6 pm.  Outside of these hours each guest will have their own room to relax in and will still be let out for bathroom breaks.

 

​What if my pet needs medications? 

​We are happy to provide medications to your pet according to your schedule for a $2/day charge.  If your pet requires insulin, we are able to give it for $2/shot.  Please do not put any medications or supplements into individually packaged bags.  It works best for us if you bring your pet's medications in their original pill bottles for us to dispense as instructed.  Please double check at check out that you have all of your medications back.

Can we come and visit our dog? 

We do not typically recommend this unless there are special circumstances, however you are allowed to do so anytime during our Lobby Hours.  The reason we do not recommend this is because some dogs might miss their Parents while staying here and so once we get them into a routine, we find it is easier on the dog (and Parents) not to take them out of that routine until they are going home.

 

Do you offer a Military Discount?

Yes, 10% OFF Boarding.  Please let us know at check-in.

Do you allow after hours check-ins?

Yes, just ask us how it works when you make your reservation.  We will need to know ahead of time if you are checking in outside of lobby hours.  A $20 fee will apply.

​

What is your cancellation policy?

You can cancel with no fee until 2 days before arrival.  You'll be charged the cost of the first night if you cancel within 2 days of arrival.  If you don't show up, the no-show fee will be the same as the cancellation fee.  Holiday and Peak Rates will apply if applicable.  We are a hotel (for dogs) and if you have a room booked and do not need it, that is a room someone else could have used, and the number of dogs we have staying with us lets us determine how many caretakers we need to have that day.  Daycare Reservations not cancelled at least 1 day prior to the day of the reservation will be charged 1 full day of Daycare.

 

​Where can we find you?

​Pet Retreat is located on County Highway P in the Wisconsin Dells, just off of exit 89. We are located a 1/2 mile from Wal-Mart and Home Depot and are only 5 minutes away from all the major Wisconsin Dells attractions and resorts!

What are your Peak Dates and how do they work?

Peak Dates are an additional $5 per night per dog.  There will be No Daycare on these Dates.
